Topic: Power dip with aircon on
I have a 111R, with the aircon switched on I occasionally get a sharp dip in power. Embarrasing if idling at traffic lights (cos it stalls) and dangerous if overtaking. Don't seem to get the problem with the aircon switched off. Anyone else had similar problem?

wow late reply, i have got airco too in my elise type 72 and can't really notice de AC compressor kicking in...but then again i only use the airco to dehumidify when it's damp => heater on + airco and dry in a sec.
also i have a rover engine and i suppose you have the toyota so can't really compare. On my calibra v6 i could really notice the kick in ... so i guess it's normal if everything runs and sounds ok... it shouldn't stall your engine at idle however !

Thanks for the reply. I have found if I let the engine warm up before switching the aircon on there is no problem...
